At the End

At the end of your life
what is it that you see?
Do you ask yourself
can this be happening to me?

Does your life flash before you
do you have time to regret?
Words of love yet unspoken
obligations not yet met.

Do loved ones come to greet you
do they meet you at the Gate?
Or do you remain in constant limbo
not knowing what's your fate.

At the end of your life
whenever that will be
Will God grant you mercy
and set your spirit free?
