Refugee

You speak to me
in a language I cannot understand,
I do not comprehend you
I have traveled to some foreign land?
You think that by shouting
I will understand what you say,
Please...you are frightening me
move back out of my way!
I wander aimlessly
for I am searching everywhere,
What is wrong with you
why do you merely stare?
Can't you see I'm lost
I'm a refugee in your land,
Stop speaking in that foreign language
don't you see I can't understand!
Where are you taking me
I did not ask to go with you,
I will not stop my searching
no matter what you do.
I'm a refugee
God help me find my way,
I'm a refugee
longing to return home one day.
