This photo was taken in Detroit 1943~about 3 years before she "officially" moved here to Detroit. Her brother and his family had moved down to Detroit before mom did so she and my dad came down to visit and job hunt. Her brother and his family would eventually move back up north. The man in the photo was Andy Kink, a neighbor who had a crush on mom. I can remember a lovely pair of earrings he had given my mom one year for Christmas. Alot of the neighbors had crushes on mom because she was soo very beautiful.

I have been unable to recall the name of the beautiful girl in the photo with mom. All I remember is that mom told me that she was her best girlfriend. Mom is the one in the forefront of the photo.

This photo is mom standing by her family's campsite. The river that ran in front of it is in the background. She helped build that camp along with her father when she was quite young.
